My Winnipeg folklore

Guy Maddin’s “My Winnipeg” is one of my favorite films of 2007. It’s funny, fantastically absurd, and brimming with folklore, such as the above scene where the horridly frozen heads of horses in the Forks inspire lust in the local population. Another scene that delighted me to no end is the exhumed corpse of Maddin’s father re-buried in the family living room for everyone to step over.
